GCEDC Delivers Site and Workforce Solutions for Oxbo
Project Overview:
Oxbo, a global manufacturer of high-tech farming equipment, had outgrown its existing facility and sought a U.S. headquarters site with the workforce and necessary infrastructure to support their growth.
Project Solution:
Working with the GCEDC, Oxbo advanced a $43.6 million new facility investment at Apple Tree Acres in Bergen, supported by GCEDC incentives, Empire State Development funding, and a FAST-NY grant for electrical infrastructure upgrades.
The company also actively engages with GCEDC-supported workforce training programs that deliver a trained under-25 workforce.
Company Perspective:
Chris Suozzi and I started to talk about this at a BOCES event a few years ago. It’s really crazy to me that we’re standing here on 50 acres … and actually seeing this come to fruition. With his help and the rest of the team at GCEDC we’ve been able to make this a reality.”
