APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS IN GENESEE COUNTY
Genesee County's workforce training programs support over 4,300 student participants annually in mechatronics, food and beverage manufacturing and advanced manufacturing fields, including established youth apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships
Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program
Dozens of students at the Genesee Valley BOCES electro-mechanical (mechatronics) program participate in the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program with Genesee County and regional businesses, including Nortera, Oxbo, and Tambe Electric.
Following a mid-school year matching day, students in 11th grade join employers for job-shadows, and students in 12th grade join employers for paid internships.

"Earn as You Learn" with this six-week advanced manufacturing training program.
Participants receive paid on-the-job training through registered apprenticeship opportunities at Genesee County employers, and graduate with no debt!
